Slot coordination

The IACC’s team focused on providing coordination services all around the world. The prime objective is to ensure an optimal use of airports resources depending on constraints (runway, terminal, parking, etc) to maximize benefits to the greatest number of airport users. For that, we can provide three different levels of coordination services depending on your needs.

  • Level1 – Data collection – Demand for airport infrastructure is sufficient to meet the demands. The aim is to collect information about planned operations up to 5 months from start of season. It allows all airport users to schedule their needs for the next season.
  • Level2 – Facilitation – Demand for airport infrastructure is not sufficient, with potential congestion during some periods of the day, week or season.
  • Level3 – Slot coordination – Demand for airport infrastructure is significantly not sufficient to meet the demands.
We can also provide coordination services for special events such as sports championships.

Web-based portal

We developed a web based portal to allow airline to deal with their schedules 24/7. E-Airportslots interacts with more than 30 airport coordination systems worldwide.

Coordination tool

  • MACS is an airport coordination system. It models the utilisation of airports resources against user-defined capacity limits, enabling a fast and accurate response to an airlines request for a slot. Airlines can request slots either in person or as standard IATA SSIM Chapter 6, MACS therefore allows these requests to be entered manually or automatically producing replies which are sent back to the airline.
  • A suite of graphical enquiry screens are provided to enable the user to monitor the planned utilisation of the airports resources. Any resource at an airport can be monitored. For example, in addition to Runway, Terminal and ‘Aircraft On Ground’ usage MACS can also monitor check-in desks, baggage area, etc.
  • Capacity limits can be defined against any resource and can be based on aircraft movement, passenger load and/or noise levels. The date range, day of week and time period for which a limit will apply is also fully user definable.
